REFLECTION FOR WEEK 2

On the second week of the Writing for Multimedia and Web, our lecturer told us about our assignment and presentation which is doing Prezi. My lecturer told us to choose a topic and to present it in the class. This Prezi presentation will be my first presentation for this course so I was excited but at the same time scared. I wanted to do my best for this presentation. As we were told, I went and find a topic which I feel is interesting. I ended up taking a liking for two different topics. Therefore, I found out many information about these two topics. Then, I analyzed the details and eliminated the details which I feel is not necessary to be mentioned in my presentation. I wanted to choose the most relevant and useful information so I had to look up many sources for more information which is correct. This is because I did not want to present something which does not have clarity and truth. I want my audience to see the real thing as it actually is without adding any wrong information

  

   In addition, I wanted my lecturer to have a look at my research so I showed them to my lecturer and asked her opinion on my findings. When I received my lecturer’s approval on my topic, I then asked her which topic among the two should I choose to be presented. My lecturer said that both is good and she allowed me to choose the better one myself. Having two topics in mind, I knew that I should choose the most interesting and better one between those two topics. Hence, I reviewed the findings which I obtained by researching and went through them again. After going through them and being sure which one to choose, selected a topic from the two topics and began my Prezi. 

   

    My presentation is about Greek Gods and Goddesses. I choose this topic solely because it is really interesting and it really piqued my interest. I feel that although it is just a myth, it is fun to know it. It can also be considered as an additional knowledge. Many people do not have a clue on what it really is so I set my mind to present it to let my audience to be opened to these myth. Although I individually do not believe these myth, I feel that it is really interesting that ancient people believed that all these Gods and Goddesses which existed all have their own unique powers and they were believed to stay at Mount Olympus.

   I wanted to attract people’s attention and to prevent my audience from getting bored of my presentation. Therefore, I made a Prezi which is interesting. I added pictures here and there and I also created an interesting background in order to prevent boredom. I zoomed the pictures to make them more lively and I also added a video at the end of my presentation to summarize my presentation. I choose an interesting video about my presentation in a cartoon form. I choose it in this form to make it interesting for my audiences as myth can really be boring to some people so it is better to present it in a form which is interesting to gain their interest
