Writing for Multimedia and the Web is
a subject that I take for this semester. It was a new and valuable experience
for me as I began understanding several skills and several amazing things. This
course is being taught by Miss Amreet. I liked this course even more as my new
lecturer really seemed to be friendly and that made me brave to ask questions
to enhance my understanding related to this course. I was truthfully honest
about beginning this course as it really seemed to be interesting. My lecturer
briefed us about what we will be doing during this course. This course really
piqued my interest as I realized that this course involves writing. I have a
passion for writing and I became excited when I realized that I will be doing
many things related to writing in this course. In addition, we were told that
we will learn new things like blog. In my whole life, I have never used blog so
I was really thrilled to try using it. Our lecturer assured us that she will
guide us to do the blog.
Moreover, we all introduced ourselves
briefly. We told our assumptions and also expectation of this course. I told
that I am very interested in learning this course as I will be doing things
related to writing. I have always thought that writing just requires a person
to write what he or she thinks and develop their ideas into a sentence and a
sentence into a paragraph. But, this course will show and teach me many new
ways to write my essay in, For example, I will be taught about writing essays in
blogs. It is really fun learning something new as we don’t have to always stick
to the same ways. This really developed my curiosity to learn. Clay P. Bedford
who was an industrialist, engineer and the president of Kaiser Aerospace &
Electronics Corp. has once said that “You can teach a student a lesson for the
day , but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue
the learning process as long as he lives.”
Furthermore, I realized that everyone was equally excited as we will be
learning many new things in this course. For me, I could not wait to begin my
own blog and to learn many new things about the web. I am not a technology
expert so I was excited to increase my knowledge related to web. I believe that
this will make education become more stronger and powerful. Sydney J. Harris
who was an American journalist has once said that “the whole purpose of
education is to turn mirrors into windows.” I strongly believe that learning
new things will definitely make me achieve something good.
