Descriptive essay: My Visit to A Famosa Water world Theme Park



A Famosa Resort is a big theme park which I had always wanted to go. My dream came true when one day, my parents told my brothers and me that we are all going to the theme park. I was happy and excited as I had always looked for this theme park’s picture at the internet. My mother even invited my aunt and grandma along with us. That even added the amount of excitement in me. I could not wait for Saturday to come as I was expecting this trip to be a fun trip. I kept on thinking of the things that I want to do when I reach there.

  The day which I was waiting for finally arrived. I had packed all of my things in my bag. We left our house at the morning and then we all went to the villa which my parents have booked earlier. Unfortunately, the villa which we went to was the wrong villa as the person who was in charge of our booking mistakenly booked the wrong villa. My dad was getting angry but then my mom told us to have our lunch first and then she spoke to the person in charge of our villa. Later on, after eating our lunch, we all managed to go to our correct villa. I was amazed as this villa is much bigger and I got my own room.

  At first, I was excited to have my own room in the big villa, but then soon I was scared as it seems to be too big and a bit creepy. I decided that at night, I will sleep with my grandma. After unpacking my things, mom told us that we are going to the cow boy town at the evening. I wondered what cow boy town actually is. Therefore, I was really amazed when I went to the town at the evening with my family. To my surprise, the whole place was like a real town which was being inhibited by cow boys. There were people dancing at the entrance. It was fun walking in the town.

  At the town, there were many people dressed up as cow boys and there were horses here and there. We even took picture with a real lion which is a tame tiger. At first, I was so scared that I did not want to catch the picture but the lion’s trainer assured me that it is a really tame lion. To my surprise, when the man stroke the lion’s head, the lion did not bite him. Instead, it really did look tame. Therefore, I took picture with the lion alongside my family.

  After that, we all watched the shows from the presenters. I was scared when one of the presenter drank water from a bottle and then swallowed the fire from a stick. My dad told me that there must have been a trick in that presentation. My family members and I took many pictures before we went back to the villa. That night, I was scared to sleep alone so my mom slept with me at night.

  The next day, we all went to the water world. I enjoy swimming and hence I really enjoyed it. I was a bit sad to notice that one of the playgrounds which has the shape of a palace which is situated in the water is under maintenance. It looked creepy as the waters there were in a dark colour and that place was isolated. Soon after, I got into the enjoyment mode again as there were many other playgrounds in water. I even played the slide from top which make people slide from up and fall into the water down.

  That night, my whole body ached as I played too much at the water world but it was really fun so I did not have anything to regret. Mom told us that tomorrow, in the morning, we will be going to the safari before returning home. I felt sad to leave the villa but I was anticipating the visit to the safari. 

  In the morning, after having our breakfast, we all went to the safari. I saw all kinds of animals ranging from little chickens to big lions. We all entered a van and entered the place where the lions stay. The van was fully protected as it was being set up with electrics to prevent the lions from attacking the van. It was scarring when the lions came close but I had lots of fun. I really enjoyed my trip and deep in my heart, I wish I could come here again.

Cause Effect essay: The effects of lack of sleep



Sleep is something important as it is an important source of energy for us. When our body hibernate, we will be in a mode which our body is replacing the lost energy of our body throughout the day. Therefore, it is very important for us to have enough sleep. Sometimes, we may think that why should we sleep and what do we gain from sleeping through the night. We should bear in mind that sleeping is actually one of the main source of the health of our body and without it, we are more opened to various types of sickness as our body’s resistance will start to be weak. Therefore, we are more prone to fall sick.

  As we grow old, or workload actually increases. This is because we are more engaged with our work and we have to complete our work in a given time. This causes us to be sleep deprived. Eventually, due to ever increasing list of things which we need to compete, we tend to give more priority to our work than our rest. We assume that we could take rest and replace the amount of sleep that we had lost the next day. Unfortunately, our work never ends and hence, our sleep will also be lost once again. 

  In addition, sometimes sleep can be lost as we think too much before going to bed. This is a norm for many people because this happens too often in people’s life. For instance, when we are about to go to sleep, we tend to think of what is going to happen tomorrow and what will tomorrow bring us. This will eventually result in the loss of our sleep. The nature of humans is never to be satisfies with what they got and this leads them to continuously thinking and planning of things ahead of us. We spend more time worrying than sleeping.

  Lack of sleep has several consequences. One of the effects of lack of sleep is lack of sleep causes accidents to happen. This is because when our body does not get sufficient sleep, we are not able to focus clearly and this causes us to lose focus. For instance, when a person who is sleep deprived drives on the road, they will not be able to focus on the oncoming cars and this will eventually leads to accidents. This puts us at a big loss as accidents results in death or major injuries. 

  Furthermore, lack of sleep leads to bad health conditions.  A person is more prone to heart diseases and high blood pressure if they do not have enough sleep. These health problems will eventually lead to their downfall in their career and also personal life. Thus, life will not bring much for those who contracted these diseases as it limits their movements and involvements in their daily basis. This causes them to be less spirited and soon they will need to depend on others as they are unable to do things on their own.

  Moreover, lack of sleep makes a person to be forgetful. This is because they are unable to keep things in their long memory due to tiredness. Their memory will be limited and this will bring them loads of problems as they might forget important thing which needs to be done. They will need to depend on memo and notes due to the fact that they cannot remember something for a longer amount of time. Their work will also be affected badly as it reduces their capability to do something in a given time. Their marketability in work will be reduced because many companies will aim for a high profit and people who are less efficient are not wanted by them.

  Lack of sleep also causes us to be agitated and irritated easily. For instance, we will lose temper easily because we are too tired to think and bear with even small problems. This causes people surrounding us to be uncomfortable around us and soon we will get isolated if this continues. Therefore, we should make sure that we receive enough sleep.

  Last but not least, sleep is something which is very important in our life. Lack of sleep messes up our daily activities and puts us at a bad situation. This shows that we need to ensure that we have enough sleep as our body needs enough rest to function well. When we have sufficient amount of sleep, our body always stays in a healthy condition.

Expository essay: What are the consequences of skipping class?



Skipping class is not a strange word to many students. There are an amount of students who simply feel fun to skip class. Being in the list of absent students seems to make them happy for no specific reason. They feel happy and they do not have any feelings of insecurities of skipping classes. Even though there were many ways and methods which were being implemented by the government and school authorities, the amounts of students skipping classes still has not decreased. Students who skipped classes could usually be seen at the shopping malls or video games shops. Some of them just spend time sleeping at home. They are not the least bit worried of their future. This is because the consequence of skipping classes had not cross their mind. 

  There are several consequences which are caused by skipping class. By skipping class, students are actually wasting the amount of money spent on their education. Money is something important and education is something even more important than that. It is of outmost pity that students are unable to prioritize both of these important things. Parents are more than willing to pay for their children’s education but it is just being thrown away by students just like that does not even matter to them. The money wasted could have been precious to many little kids who are suffering from poverty and living in an unhealthy environment. Students should spend a little time thinking of the value of money and how they just ignore it. Parents who work hard has a very important reason which is to educate their children but their children treat money as if it is something worthless.

  In addition, education symbolizes a way of life. This is because the way an educated person behaves and lives is different compared to an uneducated person. Their way of thinking also differs from each other as they inherit different values. To be exact, students who skip class are the candidates to become an uneducated person in life an eventually will inherit bad values and will be viewed as people who does not contribute anything to the society. Instead, these types of people will be a barrier for the country to develop successfully. Therefore, students who skip classes should take notice of this and change their habits before things take turn for the worst. 

  Moreover, students who skip classes will fall behind in their studies. They will be unable to catch up with their classmates as their knowledge is limited due to continuous absence. Every sentence is important in a class and student who misses class will be at a great loss as what had been lost could not be retrieved again. Normally, students just skip classes as they wish and only attend classes when there is pop quiz going on. There were mistaken by doing this as they are in shortage of the knowledge which they had lost by skipping classes. This will result in the students copying other’s answers in exams. Without knowledge, students are unable to survive in this constantly developing world. They will face countless of hardships as a result of skipping classes. 

  On the other hand, students who skip classes will also lack friends. This is because the time which they spend at school is less compared to students who always attend classes without fail. This will result in the loneliness of the students who skips classes. They will most potentially be ignored in class. For instance, during a group assignment, no one will be happy to be in the same group with them as they will be in the fear of losing their own marks. Therefore, the marks of the students who skip classes will also be affected.

  All in all, skipping classes is something which is extremely worthless and will only result in one’s downfall. This shows that skipping classes is something which will bring disadvantages to the doer. Therefore, students should stop skipping classes before it is too late as chances only come knocking at our door once.

Argumentative essay: Listening to music is much better than sleeping in order to reduce stress.

Everyone who is called a human has felt stressed at least a few times in a couple of days. This is because there are certain things which could not be solved instantly the way we want. Human beings are not able to control nature and sometimes we are swallowed by problems which we could not solve. As long as we live, there will be countless of times when we feel so stressed up and upset. This is due to the fact that we cannot grasp the truth that we are powerless to solve certain problems. Feeling stressed might lead us to several bad consequences. Therefore, it is a top priority to handle our stress well as it might bring harm to us.

  Different people have different way to release their stress. Certain people may choose listening to music as a way to solve this problem whereas there are people who find sleeping as the best way to cure stress. Listening to music is the best way to solve this issue. This is because music such as classical music will slow down the heart rate thus making us feel more relaxed. This type of music is also able to lower down blood pressure. Therefore, the risk of people getting high blood pressure could be lowered by listening to calming music. This is better than sleeping. By sleeping, we are only trying to run away from our problem. For instance, when we are awaked later, we still feel upset as we remember our past problems.

  In addition, music helps us to think better. Listening to music will give us the inspiration which we are so desperately in need of. When we feel inspired, even a big problem will seem to be small and it will give us the urge to solve it rather than running away from it. Music which gives us inspiration actually exists. For example, R.Kelly has sang a song titled “I Can Fly”. In this song, the singer said that he who one taught about his ability now believes that he believe he can fly and touch the sky. This shows that as long as we listen to an inspiring song, we will have more trust that we will make it through our obstacles and problems in life. Sleeping will eventually encourage us to feel scared and plant the fear to stand up again after our downfall.

  Besides that, with the presence of music, we are able to release stress almost anywhere. This is because, we can listen to music almost anywhere as music exists in many mediums and forms such as mp3, cassette player, dvd, album and even in our hand phone. With the modern technology nowadays, there are thousands of songs waiting to be downloaded in our mobile phones. There are many ways to download them such as using “4Shared and we can also download songs in our laptop using YouTube Downloader. There is also something called I livid which can be used to download songs in our laptops. This shows that music can be found and used anywhere whereas sleep could only be done indoors. 

 Music can also heal us from the consequence of stress. It encourages coordination and communication. Hence, it improves the way we live and changes our perspective towards life. Patients who are recovering heal better by listening to music. Music has the ability to reduce anxiety and fear. This increases the rate of healing fast. The absence of fear will give patients the strong motivation to get well soon and this clearly helps them to get well earlier than expected. Moreover, music also can reduce the pain of chronic problems. 

  As a conclusion, music is the best way to relieve stress rather than just sleeping and doing nothing other than running away from the problems that we face. Music makes us feel calm and destroys the feeling of fear and low self-esteem. This really contributes in making us to live in a healthy and calm environment.
